With over 700 exchange agreements in 230 institutions in more than 40 countries worldwide, approximately 10% of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) student body is comprised of international students. KIT is dedicated to developing and fostering its collaboration with worldwide partners in a dynamic and strategically focused way. These exchange agreements include agreements for scientist and student exchange programmes, research, interdisciplinary internships and KIT hosted Summer Schools. Of these many agreements, KIT has more than 25 partnerships with Japanese Universities (including HeKKSaGOn partners Kyoto University, Osaka University and Tohoku University) that contain a wide spectrum of topics including nanotechnolgy, fusion research, biotechnology, theoretical physics and many more.
KIT will also host the next HeKKSaGOn Summer School focusing on capabilities and challenges of nanotechnology research. During the Summer School, participants will attend workshops highlighting the latest developments and research studies in Nanotechnology, visit KIT research laboratories, participate in a poster session as well as have the opportunity to attend a cultural excursion.
